Sir Edward Hastings was born in 1542 at Ashby De La Zouch, Leicestershire, EnglandG.3 He was the son of Francis Hastings, 2nd Earl of Huntingdon and Catherine Pole. He married Barbara Devereux, daughter of Sir William Devereux and Jane Scudamore, in 1567. He died in 1603 at Abbey Gate, Leicestershire, England
