He was born on 01 Dec 1800 in Hamilton County, Ohio, USA and his parents were Rachel (Bell) and George Hatfield, Jr. (1770-1817).

John Martin Hatfield married about 1826 in Parke County, Indiana, USA to Pheobe Coddington (1807-1883).[1][2]

Census 1850 Peoria, Period, Illinois, USA (the 6 eldest children birthplace is recorded as Louisiana - ages 5-19[3])

He died on 09 Dec 1857 and was buried at Graceland Cemetery in Bedford, Taylor County, Iowa, USA. [4] [5] [6]

Hatfield-2474 and Hatfield-428 appear to represent the same person because: dups with same father and same spouse. Note that one has an unknown birth date of BEFORE 1815.
