John M, Hathorn left SC and went to Pickens, AL in 185?. Looking for a listing of his children as I only know of the three that died and are listed in the ARP Marriage & Death Records for (1843-1863). Martha and her twin sister Mary were called sunshine & Tempest, respectively, (Martha was a redhead) Martha died while peeling peaches for a pie.* Per info provided in "Hawthornes of Long Cane Headwaters" by Newell Bowie.
