Biography
Hawes was born 10 Apr 1752 at Haddam[1]
He married 12 Sep 1773 at Haddam Lucinda Bushnell[2] Source Text: "Lucinda, m. Hans* Higgins, Sept. 16, 1773 (*Hawes hand corrected in original manuscript)".
He served two years during the Revolution on the Connecticut line, and was at the the battles of Stillwater and Saratoga.
