Biography
Nathaniel, son of Ichabod Higgins and Melatiah Hamlin, was born on June 1, 1694 in Eastham, Barnstable, Massachusetts Bay Colony.[1] He apparently died before 30 Aug 1753 when wife Sarah married again.[2]
He married first Elizabeth Atwood on February 26, 1718 in Eastham, Barnstable, Massachusetts Bay Colony.[3]
Nathaniel married second, Sarah Walker, daughter of Jabez and Elizabeth Walker of Eastham, on 7 Aug 1729 at Eastham.[4][5]
In a record dated 19 Mar 1727/8 "Nathaniel Higgins and Ebenezer Higgins both of Eastham yeomen agree to divide equally several parcels of land and tenements in Eastham, being all the housing, lands and medows that our honoured Father Ichabod Higgins of sd Eastham bought of John Collens by deed dated 5 Sep 1715."[4]
