To my knowledge, no one has been able to find documentation for a marriage between Thankful and William Bushnell. But, there is a court case where she claimed he was the father of Alexander. She married Daniel Rathbone less than 4 months after Alexander's birth, likely not enough time to divorce. William was found to be the father of another child too, and assigned child support payments. The documents are listed here. http://www.geocities.ws/gewdunn/bushnell_alex_paternity.html
