Based on the likely dated of her marriage in about 1666, Margaret (___), the wife of Arthur Taylor, was probably born before 1648 in England. Her origins are uncertain, but many researchers believe she was the daughter of Roger Hill, who made his will in Baltimore County on 22 December 1675 and named "Artor Taylor" as one of his beneficiaries.[1] This claim is plausible based on the will, but remains speculative.
Margaret married Arthur Taylor, probably in Baltimore County, Province of Maryland, in about 1666 based on the likely birth of their first known child Ann by about 1667. They were married by 2 August 1670 when Margaret Taylor, wife of Arthur Taylor, consented to his sale of 125 acres of Taylors Mount and 100 acres of "Fall Hill" (or Tall Hill) to Richard Winley.[2]
Margaret Taylor died before 5 January 1678/9, by which time Arthur had remarried to the widow Frances Smithers, who joined him in a deed on that date selling 315 acres (Spring Hill) to Thomas Cooke.[3]
