Biography

John Kirk Hill received the training required to be a medical doctor but after the training was finished he did not feel free to practice many of the procedures that the medical profession were using during his life time. He felt that Medical doctors were more often doing harm than they were doing good. Story has it was told to his great granddaughter.

When John Kirk Hill was born on September 19, 1833, in Alabama, his father, John, was 25 and his mother, Elizabeth, was 17. He had three sons and four daughters with Sallie L. Hill Collins between 1868 and 1883. He died on April 27, 1884, at the age of 50.
