Biography

William Hilton[1][2][3] (b. bef. 1418 - d. 13 Oct 1457; bur. Hilton Chapel).[8] was the son of Robert Hilton (b. c. 1385 - d. 11 Aug 1448),[4] and Maud Clifford (d. bef. 16 May 1442). According to Cokayne (1929), he was either over age 30 or 40 when his father died. This gives him a birth range of being born before 1408 or before 1418.
