Biography

James Hinds III (b. abt. December 1647) was baptized 27 February 1647/48 in the First Congregational Church, Salem, Massachusetts. ^[1]

He was perhaps married in the early-to-mid 1670s (at Southold?, Long Island, New York) to his wife Anne. ^{[citation needed]} They had moved to Elizabethtown, New Jersey by 1677, because on 11 July 1677, he requested a Warrant Survey for 120 acres of land at Elizabethtown in right of himself and his wife. This might indicate they did not yet have surviving children.

James Hinds died in 1719 in Elizabethtown, New Jersey. On 25 May 1719 administration of his estate was granted to his son James Hinds.
