Biography
Calvin was born about 1828. He is understood to be the son of Ewing Hogan. There is a conflict as to the identity of Calvin's mother with some genealogies saying Tabitha Lanz (Tabitha is too young) and other Mary Unknown.
Calvin married Sarah Ann Coker shortly before their enumeration on the federal census in 1850, Marion County, Arkansas. [1] Their children were Mary, Michael, Ewing, Micajah, Sarah, Idelia, Josephine and John.
