Biography
Bertrade van Holland was born abt 1022, daughter of Dirk III, graaf van Holland and Othilde van de Nordmark van Saksen. Bertrade is mentioned in the annalista saxo with her sister haar zuster. Bertade married Dirk I (or Dietrich?) van Katlenburg (von Kaltlenburg), son of Udo van Katlenburg. Dirk died 10-09-1056. Killed during a campaign against the Liutizen, a Slavic tribe in present-day Poland, together with Margrave Willem of the Saxon North Mark. Dirk married Bertrade van Holland. [1]
