Please take care to not confuse the lines unless there is convincing evidence.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with David by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with David:

I've added a link to David's will. Written May 1778 and presented at court September 1778. Any objections to changing the date of death to before 1778?

The Conway, MA death info and date appears to apply to a different David Horton.

An old compiled family tree had David and his wife Ann/Anne living in North Carolina. There appears to be no connection between these people and that Southern state until their great grandson George M Heckard (1848- ca. 1896) relocated from Pomeroy, Ohio, to Charlotte, North Carolina in the latter part of the 1800's. There are many Hortons in the area of Chatham County, North Carolina; it is not known how/if they might actually connect with David and Ann/Anne.
There is some "illogic" to the places associated with this family. Georgia, Vermont, NC, Connecticut, Massachusetts. Someone should look at this.
