Biography

Born in Sudbury 11 Oct 1716, the son of Nehemiah and Margaret (Willard) Howe.[1] He married 21 July 1736 Lydia Robbins in Grafton,[2] the daughter of Thomas and Lydia Robbins.[3] They lived in Grafton first, where their first two children were born. Then they moved to Westmoreland, New Hampshire, where they were early settlers, and their next two children were born. His death date is uncertain, but his wife Lydia is known to have outlived him by many years. She died in Westmoreland in 1806, aged 91 years.[4]

pages 43 - 44 Joshua Howe, born in Sudbury, Massachusetts, 11 Oct. 1716; married 21 July 1735, Lydia Robbins, daughter of Thomas and Lydia Robbins of Groton, Massachusetts, born 23 Jan. 1715. They lived in Grafton until after two children were born, then they moved to Westmoreland New Hampshire, and tradition says they were the parents of the first white child born in that town. The date of death of Joshua has not yet been found, but his wife Lydia probably outlived him many years, she died in Westmoreland in 1806, aged 91 years.
