Biography

Noah was born in Marborough, Middlesex, Massachusetts Bay Colony on 6 Feb 1733.[1] He is the second born child and son of Benjamin Howe and Lucy Amsden. He married in Marlborough on 23 Nov 1758, Martha Barnard, daughter of Robert Barnard and Elizabeth Howe (Bailey from a previous marriage).[2] They had 6 children together, all born in Marlborough: 1) Fortunatus b. on 26 Mar 1760; 2) Winslow b. on 8 Nov 1761; 3) Nanne b. on 2 Apr 1763; she died at age 12 on 21 Jan 1776; 4) Calvin b. on 17 Jun 1765; 5) Gardner b. on 16 Feb 1767; he died at age 8 on 25 Aug 1775; and 6) Lydia b. on 26 Nov 1769. Noah died in Marlborough on 3 Feb 1813.[3]
