Biography

Samuel was born in 1732 in Brookfield, Massachusetts. the son of Ebenezer Howe and Lydia Woolcott. He bought land in Mansfield, Connecticut 15 April 1754 and married there 30 Sep 1754 Eunice Conant, born 28 May 1736. He was appointed surgeon's mate in the 1st Connecticut Regiment, Coll Phineas Lyman, and served from 24 March to 19 Sept 1760, when he died in Montreal.[1]
