The name 'Jaazaniah' was very likely from one of four biblical characters mentioned in the Old Testament of the King James Bible. In Hebrew, the name means (literally) "may God hear". The variations in the spelling of his name are too numerous to list (two dozen or more). He signed his name 'Jaazaniah'.

I can't seem to find any written record of death, and it appears his gravestone has never been located either.
Here is the text as it appears in Howe Genealogies, available on Internet Archives: “Jezaniah signed his name “Jaaz- aniah.” It is also various-spelled as Jazaniah, Jesseniah, &c. He died in 1762, his will being dated 3 Aug. and proved 6 Sept. 1762, (see Worcester Co. Probate Records.) Of the children named below, the first two were born in Marlborough, the next three were born in Southboro, and the rest of them were born in Leicester, Mass.’
I don’t recall if his will is online, but is apparently on file in Worcester County. It certainly would seems to be a credible source for the death date (recorded as “proved” date). Sounds like you may also be a direct descendant? Let me know what you find…
