Stephen Hoyt/Hoit was born on 21 Dec 1713 at Guilford, Connecticut, the son of Samuel Hoyt and Hannah Tuttle. [1][2] He married on 05 Jul 1753 to Experience Arnold and they resided at East Guilford, Connecticut where Stephen died 10 months after his wedding, and one month before the birth of his only child: [3]

Stephen wrote his will on 23 Apr 1754 at East Guilford and it was probated the same year at Hartford, Connecticut, with an inventory of his estate made on 12 Nov 1754. [5]
