George Herbert, who often appears as Herbert, was born in 1882, the son of Dennis Hull and Catherine Galloway. [1] In 1910, at the age of 28, he was a single mill worker, residing in Grayson County, Texas. [2]
He next appeared in Benton, Illinois where he registered for the World War I draft; [3] and where he and his first wife Bessie Adams and had an unnamed daughter who was born on 09 Oct 1916 and died on 15 Oct 1916. [4]
George then removed to Colorado, where he married second on 26 Apr 1927 at Boulder to Ethel F. (Brown) Mills, [5] who had a son Cecil J. Mills. [6]
He and Ethel divorced in 1935 [7] and he married third on 11 Feb 1937 at Denver to Anna (Unknown) Pagel [8] who had a son Joseph A. Pagel. [9]
George registered for the World War II draft in 1942 at Denver [10] and filed for his Social Security retirement on 29 Dec 1947. [11]
He is not known to have had any surviving children by any of his three wives, and no record of his death or burial have been found.
