Helen is estimated to have been born in 1575 to make her 20 years old when she had a child Ralph ("Radalphus") baptised. Her parents are unknown. It is not known whether Knightsford was her Last Name at Birth or a married name.
Ralph Bemon the son of Adam Bemon and Helen Knightsford, was baptised at the parish church of St Lawrence, Biddulph, Staffordshire, England on 28 September 1595. The names are rendered into Latin versions and the wording of the parish register entry suggests Ralph's parents were an unmarried couple. [1]
[An[n]o D[omi]ni 1595] Radalphus filius Adami Bemon et Helena Knightsford bapt. fuit vicessimo octavo Die Sept an[n]o predicto
Helen Knightsford and Adam Bemon (variant spellings) are widely found in internet trees as the parents of Simon Beaman, an immigrant to Massachusetts in about 1648. There is no evidence that Helen and Adam had any other children apart from Ralph.
Disproven Burial Helen has an entry on FindAGrave giving her burial at Quatford, Shropshire in 1629. [2] There is no entry in the parish register of Quatford of any person named Helen, Beaman or Knightsford (or variants of any of these names) for the years 1626 to 1634 inclusive, (Full colour images of the parish register on FindMy Past)

2. She currently has two versions of Adam Beaman as the father of her child. One is 25 years younger than the other and is virtually the same age age as her son Ralph. There is no record of a second younger Adam. Suggest that the two Adams are merged with the surname Bemon, the spelling as per Ralph's baptism record.
