DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Richard by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Richard:

John D. Austin, Mayflower Families Through Five Generations, Vol 6, Stephen Hopkins, Plymouth, Mass.: General Society of Mayflower Descendants, 2001 [3rd edition], p. 412, says of Thankful, wife of Samuel Godrey, that her maiden name is unknown. She was alive at Barrington, Nova Scotia, in 1770 and died by 01 Nov 1779. "Her surname is suggested as Knowles; otherwise unidentified. No proof has been found that she is mother of his children." So the connection we show on WikiTree is not one that is accepted by the Mayflower Society.

The 2019 Brewster Silver Book (part 3, page 62) does not list Thankful as a child of Richard Knowles and Martha Cobb. Their marriage is listed as being "about 1712" and their eldest child, Martha, being born on 28 January 1713/4.

I've posted a comment on Thankful's profile about disconnecting her.

Knowles-2474 and Knowles-1208 appear to represent the same person because: They appear to be the same person.
