Research Note

Shenandoah Co., VA, Personal Property Tax Records - [1]As Rebecca is listed responsible party, presumably Johannes has died prior to 1782/3 . He apparently didn't return from an engagement during the Rev War under Cpt Joseph Bowman in a military mission to Cahokia, IL"[1]

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Johannes by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Johannes:

Having suggested merging Krick-2 and Krick-285, I am now wondering if there are two people who have been conflated. I am unsure what to do or how to untangle this, but there is more information at https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/collaborate/LHG8-HJW, 2nd comment; and https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/details/LHG8-HJW "Life Sketch"

One man married Ann Maria Hatt and died about 1800. The other man married Rebecca Wicks and died before 1782, presumably in the revolutionary war.

Krick-285 and Krick-2 appear to represent the same person because: I am uncertain if these two are the same or not, but the marriage to the same person and the dates of birth and death make me think it should definitely be considered.

this data does not fully match that in the DAR patriot file for his father.

Perhaps this Johannes is another person - see https://services.dar.org/public/dar_research/search_adb/?action=full&p_id=A133815

The correct son of Francis is John Peter https://services.dar.org/public/dar_research/search_adb/?action=full&p_id=A067487
