Biography

Loretta, daughter of William R. Krom and Sarah Ann (Christiana) Krom,^[1] was born about 1891 in New York.^[1]

Her father died in 1891.^[2][3] Thus, her mother Sarah (age 53) was head of the household in Kingston, Ulster County, New York, that included Loretta (14) and her siblings Julia Kirchner (23) and George Krom (17) in 1905.^[4]

On 14 August 1913 in Ulster County, she married John Vincent Slattery,^[1] son of Martin Slattery and Margaret Leehive.^[1]

In 1920 she was married to John with 2 small children living in Dutchess New York ^[5]

In 1930 she and John and their 3 children were living in Montgomery Orange ^[6]

In 1940 she was a widow living with son Gerald in Walden, Montgomery Town, Orange, New York. Her husband John had died the previous year ^[7]

Died in September 1947 in Newburgh, Orange, New York, United States ^[8]
