Events
1: Grew up on the farm, Vaalbank. When the Great Trek (Groot Trek) started in 1836, Kruger's father, Casper Kruger, joined the trek party of Hendrik Potgieter.[6]
Guillaume-Marie-Albert Heymans (1870-1952) became the personal physician to President Kruger. His services are all the more appreciated by the President as he suffers from an eye disease. After the defeat of the Boers, Guillaume-Marie-Albert Heymans (1870-1952) accompanied Kruger into an exile that was all the more winding because he had hoped to find help for his country abroad. In 1904, Favereau's Belgian Minister of Foreign Affairs granted him asylum in Belgium, where he did not reside, but died in the canton of Vaud in Clarens, in 1904, in the arms of Heymans, who had become a faithful friend until death. Heymans had President Kruger's body embalmed and accompanied him to Cape Town.[8]

Greetings Abby - I have a copy of two books titled "The Memoirs of Paul Kruger" Vol 1 and Vol 2, Four times President of the South African Republic, told by himself, published by T. Fisher Unwin Paternoster Square 1902. I uploaded some of the quotes from this book to his profile, but I have not worked on the formatting styles, or removed duplicated statements.
He did mention - "I lived in Magaliesberg where I continued to acquire several farms by barter. Here in January 1846 I had the misfortune to lose my wife and the little baby to whom she had given birth. God gave me another life companion in Miss Gezina Suzanna Frederika Wilhelmina du Plessis. From this marriage sprang 9 sons and 7 daughters, of whom 3 sons and 5 daughters are still alive (he must have written this comment in 1901)"
Let me know if you need me to look up more information from this autobiography
Greeetings Abby - Please be informed for the connection and combat game my wife [Helberg-91] is 10 degrees from [Kruiger-2], I am therefore 11 degrees.
Also his registered family name Kruiger is an old German spelling, for traceability should we change his registered name to [Kruger ?] and include the name Kruiger in the other last name box.
I also noticed his father his siblings and his childrens family name is recorded as [Kruger] which contradicts the use of the name Kruiger.
regards
Paul
