John Lambert was born in 1641 in the Clefts, Calvert County, Maryland.
No records have been found identifying his parents.
By 1662 John Lambert had married Eleanor Neville, the daughter of John Neville, Mariner. John Neville had by his will of February 14, 1664/5, named his daughter Ellen Lambert and his son John Lambert; John Lambert furthermore adminnistered the estate of his father in law. [1]

Eleanor Nevill, daughter of John Nevill, married John Lambert. [4]
In July 1665 John Neville's widow Johanna deeded a "fillie foale" which she had acquired from Robert Slye to John Lambert for the use of Lambert's son John. [5]
On June 12, 1666, Willilam Neville, son of John, went to court to show he had reached his majority and was entitled to receive the estate that John Lamber and William Price had been holding for him. [6]
