Biography

Nicolas Lebel was born on 9 May 1675 and baptized on 12 May 1675 in Château-Richer, the son of Nicolas Lebel and Thérèse Mignaux[1][2][3].

At the age of 29, he married Marie-Madeline Michaud, daughter of Pierre Michaud and Marie Ancelin, on 23 Aug 1707 in Rivière-Ouelle[4][5]. These are their known children:

  1. Jean-Baptiste Lebel (1708-1776) m. Marie Jeanne Dupéré
  2. Joseph Lebel (c1710-1798) m. Marie-Hélène Paradis
  3. Nicolas Lebel (c1714-c1792) m. Marie-Madeleine Sirois dite Duplessis
  4. Marie-Anne Lebel (c1718-) m. Prisque Guéré dit Dumont
  5. Marie-Madeleine Lebel (1721-1794) m. Gabriel Côté

There is no burial recorded for Nicolas. PRDH shows that his wife Madeleine Michaud remarried about September 5, 1722 (the date of her marriage contract), so Nicolas must have passed away before this date[6][7]. He was about 46 years old.
