Research Notes
While Lineage Book : NSDAR : Volume 139 : 1918, Daughters of the American Revolution, North America, Family Histories, 1500-2000 for Elizabeth Lee, states that she is the daughter of Henry Lee, that information was from 1918 and has been proven incorrect. [1]

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Elizabeth by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Elizabeth:
Hi -- Elizabeth appears to be only five months older than her half-brother, Henry Lee IV, who appears to have been born to the first wife. Ergo, someone's birthdate is incorrect, or possibly Elizabeth has been assigned to the wrong mother (won't fix birth discrepancy if father is the same. Not sure, but I think her alleged birth date is before Anne married Henry.
In an article I read recently, (newspapers.com, Richmond Dispatch, 21 May 1890, article including a sub-head "The Lee Family" featuring a letter he wrote on 20 Nov 1865 Robert E. Lee claimed two sisters, both born to Anne Carter (Anne Marshall and Mildred Childe). He also claimed two full blooded brothers, Charles Carter Lee and Sidney Smith Lee. And one half-brother, Major Henry Lee. Other children appear not to have reached maturity, so he didn't mention them.
But Elizabeth seems to need some attention as to dates and/orparentage.
