When Abner Lilley was born on 3 June 1759, his father, George Lillie , was 35 and his mother, Mary Burgess, was 28. [1] Abner was Baptized on 10 Jun 1759 at Scotland, Connecticut.[2]
He married Sibel Hale on March 8, 1777, in Windham, Connecticut.
On 15 Dec 1780, Abner, age 21, was serving with the 4th Connecticut
Provincial Regiment, in the Continental Army.[3]In 1781, Abner was serving under Col Butler in the Fourth Connecticut Regiment. [4]Private Abner Lilly died on 16 Jan 1782.[5]
He died as a young father on 16 Jan 1782, in Connecticut at the age of 22.
