John Lindsay (abt.1540-abt.1639), who was allegedly born in Lincolnshire, has been attached as a son of the 5th Lord Lindsay. According to the Scotts Peerage, the 5th Lord Lindsay did have a son John who would have been born in Scotland and died without issue in France before 1626.

Lindsay-371 and Lindsay-1905 appear to represent the same person because: same name, same time frame, same birth location, mother Lundie, father John, I believe Lindsay of the Byres.
