Biography

Henry Lloyd was Lord of the Manor of Queens Village

Son of James and Grizzell (Sylvester) Lloyd. James Lloyd became owner of the land, Caumsett (formerly Horse Neck), in 1684. In 1685 the land was renamed "Manor of Queen's Village", annexed to Oyster Bay, Queens. Today the area is known as Lloyd Harbor and much of the land has become Caumsett State Historic Park. It is now part of the Town of Huntington in Suffolk Co. At the age of 24, Henry gave up a shipping business in Newport, RI in order to farm the land. Henry Lloyd's house, built in 1711, still stands. It is known as the Henry Lloyd Manor House.

Henry Married Rebecca Nelson, dau. of john Nelson on 27 Nov 1708 in Boston, Mass. He later married Mary Clark on 23 Oct 1729.

Henry wrote his will on 3 March 1763. His estate passed probate on 15 July 1763.[1]
