Pvt Joseph Long was Wounded in Action at Bentonville, North Carolina on 19 Mar 1865 during US Civil War.

Joseph was born in 1829 in Richland County, Ohio.[1][2] Joseph was the child of John Long and Nancy Kepler.

Joseph married Sarah (Guthery) Long in 1857 in Ohio.[3]

Joseph served the Union in the Civil War as a Private in Company F, 33rd Regiment, Ohio Infantry. He enlisted on the 23rd of Sep 1864. Joseph was severely wounded in the right leg at Bentonville, North Carolina on 19 Mar 1865 and his leg was amputated. He was mustered out on 28 Jun 1865 at Washington, District of Columbia.[4][5]

Joseph passed away in 1920 in Allen County, Ohio.[1][2]:
