Served in Capt. James Arnold's Company, Col. Wingate's Regiment of New Hampshire Militia, and was in the campaign at Ticonder­oga 1776-7.

Married Ruth Rogers of Colchester CT on Nov 20, 1746. She was the fifth in descent from Thomas Rogers of Plymouth MA. who was the grandson of John Rogers (the martyr who was burned at Smithfield England Feb 14, 1555).

Children: 1. Nathaniel Lord He was married to Lois Copp

2. Experience, born in Colchester, Feb 14, 1750, died in Craftsbury VT 1822 (named for her fathers mother). She married xxx Pennock

3. Jonathan Lord Jr (named for his father).

4. Ruth, born in Colchester, May 12, 1754, died in Norwich VT, Mar 3, 1838 (named for her mother).
