Biography

In 1940 Clifford and Ola were staying in Detroit with the Holman family. They are listed as boarders. Also there is Joseph Alesso? May be Allison? GOOD GUESS. But the Holmans are not relations. Joseph Allison did not go to Detroit

Funeral Services for Mr. Clifford Earl Maddux, Sr, age 99, of Cookeville, will be Friday, June 1, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Cookeville Free Will Baptist Church. Burial will follow at the Stewart Cemetery. Mr. Maddux passed away on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at NHC of Cookeville. Clifford was born July 26, 1912 in Putnam County TN to the late Dow and Margaret Allison Maddux. He was a highly respected farmer in southern Putnam County and a member of the Farm Bureau and Cookeville Free Will Baptist Church. Clifford is survived by two sons: Earl (Janice) Maddux and Jim (Connie) Maddux of Cookeville, one brother, Leonard Maddux of Cookeville and one sister, Elsie Peterson of Ferndale MI. He is also survived by a granddaughter, Sandra (John) Bohannon of Cookeville. Clifford is also survived by one great-granddaughter, Alicia (Les) Haffner of Sparta and one great-grandson, Barry (Macy) Bohannon of Cookeville and two great-great grandchildren, Kylie Sue and Garrett Bohannon. In addition to his parents Mr. Maddux was preceded in death by his wife Ola Ellis Maddux, three brothers, Lawrence, Ralph and Gene Maddux and one sister Christine Quinn. Pallbearers will be John and Barry Bohannon, Les Haffner, Fred Haney, Fowler Prichard and Charles Bryant. Bro. Charles Cook and Bro. Gary Farris will officiate the services. Memorial contributions may be made to Free Will Baptist Foreign Missions P.O. Box 5002, Antioch, TN 37011-5002 in Memory of Mr. Maddux.
