Hannah Martyn, or Martin/Marten, was born in Salisbury, Old Norfolk County in Massachusetts Bay Colony on 01 Feb 1643/4, the daughter of George Martyn and wife Hannah.[1] She married Ezekiell Wathen in Salisbury on 04 December 1661, the son of George Wathen and wife Margery Hayward.[2] They had ten children, the first three births recorded in Salisbury, the next seven in Amesbury, Essex County. Hannah died in Salisbury at her eldest daughter's home, Hannah Fowler, on 29 Jun 1730.[3]

Her mother died when she was age 2. Very soon after her father married Susann North, who was hung for being a witch in 1692.
