Biography

Florence was born in Oak Ridge (Warren County), Mississippi, October 31, 1901.^[1] Her first husband was Henry P. Noland.^[2]

Henry Peyton and Florence (Martin) Noland had two sons. After her husband's death in 1935, Florence raised her sons as a single mother before marrying again when they were teenagers. Florence's second husband was Webb M. Bruce. Florence died in 1984 and is buried in the Vicksburg City Cemetery.

2. ↑ May 27 marriage date and location added by her son, Peyton, in June 2012, although other records show May 16, 1923, as date of marriage. She (Florence) wrote her marriage date as May 23, 1923 in a family group she created. However, that date was changed in WikiTree to 16 May 1923 on 14 Jan. 2019 (based on information in this image). At one point the family papers included her marriage certificate, but that has apparently been lost. Considering that the image is verifiable by others, until/unless a publicly available record of her marriage is found, 16 May it was.
