Biography

When Joseph Mather was born on March 15, 1715, in Lyme, Connecticut, his father, Joseph Mather, was 29 and his mother, Phebe DeWolf, was 24. He married Anna Booth on October 26, 1737, in his hometown. They had twelve children during their marriage. He died in 1797 in New Britain, Connecticut, having lived a long life of 82 years, and was buried in Hartford, Connecticut.
