Gerold, bishop of Mainz (Mayence is French for Mainz) is not fictional, but his parents are entirely unknown. His son Gewiliobus is his only known relation. He should, therefore, be disconnected from this fictional family.

And he should be merged with De_Mayance-1, presntly set as Unmerged Match.

De Mayence-1 and Mainz-1 appear to represent the same person because: Even if these are fabricated pedigrees, we still need to merge the duplicates.

Mainz-25 and Mainz-1 appear to represent the same person because: Highly probable duplicate profile

The fabpedigree.com page is about "Gerold (Bishop) of MAYENNE (Bishop of MAINZ)". This gives a poor impression of fabpedigree's accuracy.

De Mayence-1 and Mainz-1 do not represent the same person because: The only thing that suggests merging is DOD.

I'm not so sure that Gerold's a fictional person. But so far, he doesn't seem to have any known relatives besides his son, Gewillieb (not to be confused with Gerold, Graf im Kraichgau [Vinzgau/Thurgau/Uldarichinger]).
