Theophilus Mayo, son of Thomas and Barbara (Knowles) Mayo was born in Eastham. He died in Eastham on 6 October 1763. Theophilus married twice.
His first wife was Rebecca Smith, daughter of Thomas and Mary (_____) Smith. He married Rebecca in Eastham on 31 March 1685. His second wife was Rachel (Lincoln) (Hopkins) Higgins, daughter of Thomas and Rachel (Holmes) Lincoln, widow of Benjamin Hopkins, and widow of Elisha Higgins. The intentions for his marriage to Rachel were published in Eastham on 20 July 1751.[1]

It appears that Theophilus Mayo and Susannah Freeman were not married and it may have been an error that occurred with a merge somewhere along the line. Does anyone have any reason to not disconnect them as spouses?
