Biography

Harrison McCabe was the son of Rev. John McCabe and Rachel Whitfield. [1] His parents married 14 December 1804, so assume he was born sometime after that date.

Research Notes

Was his name Henry Harrison McCabe: I found a probate record for Henry Harrison McCabe and he signed his Last Will on 19 April 1826 in Beaufort County, North Carolina (which is next to Craven County) and was proved in court February 1827. He names his wife as Peggy McCabe and young children as Bryan Harrison McCabe and Sally McCabe. In addition, if his wife and children die, the estate would go to Danl. H. McCabe and Darden H. McCabe (possible half brothers?). Link to transcribed Last Will. This may be our Harrison McCabe.Tirey-10 02:57, 16 June 2021 (UTC)

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Harrison by comparing test results with other carriers of his ancestors' Y-chromosome or mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Harrison:

I found a possible lead to Harrison McCabe, perhaps his name was Henry Harrison McCabe as indicated in the research note which I posted.

Thanks, I haven't found anything about him, except what was mentioned in that Whitfield book, which I noticed has many mistakes.
