Research Notes

Not to be confused with Asa Harmon McCoy (1828-1865), a cousin with the same name who lived in the same time and geographic location.

Asa's middle name is not confirmed as Harmon. It's possible that due to the confusion with Asa Harmon McCoy (1828-1865) that the middle name of Harmon was inadvertently associated with him.
