Biography
Robert Lee McDaniel was born in January 1866 in Tennessee, the son of James Alfred McDaniel and Mrtha Williams Giles. He had five siblings:
- James Sydney McDaniel
- Martha Annetta (McDaniel) Jones
- William Clemen McDaniel
- Newton Valentine McDaniel
- Bertha Ann (McDaniel) Hanley
In the 1880 census, Robert was living with his family in Shelby County, Tennessee, United States. [1]
He married Emma Alexander 10 Nov 1885 in Shelby, Tennessee, United States [2] They had three children:
- Blanche McDaniel born September 1886
- Lottie Lee McDaniel born September 1892, died 21 April 1958 in Lepanto, Poinsett, Arkansas, United States.
- Verlie Vertie MdDaniel1899-1900. Verlie was not listed in the 1900 census, most likely meaning she died as an infant.
In 1900, Robert, Emma, Blanche and Lottie were living in Buffalo Township, Craighead, Arkansas, United States. Robert and Emma were both 34, Blanche was 14, and Lottie was 8. [3]
