Biography

Gillet McDonald was born in 1843.[1]She was the child of Joseph McDonald and his wife Elizabeth Esther Taylor.

She was the wife of James Thomas Taylor.[1]

She was killed by the Kiowa at the McDonald Massacre on August 8, 1865 and buried at Spring Creek Cemetery,[1] located between Harper and Fredericksburg, Texas.[1]Also killed at this time were James Eli McDonald, Elizabeth Frazier Joy, Mahala Alwilder Joy McDonald and Peter Thomas Hazelwood.[1]
