Biography

Ælfwynn was the daughter of Æthelred of Mercia and Æthelflæd, daughter of King Alfred the Great.[1][2][3] Her birth date is not known.

When her mother died in 918, Ælfwynn was initially accepted as ruler of Mercia, but her uncle Eadweard the Elder soon took direct control of Mercia. The Abingdon manuscript of the Anglo-Saxon Chronicles says that, after being displaced, she was taken by her uncle to Wessex.[1][2][3][4] No more is known of her.

ODNB says the wife of Ordgar is unknown. Hence it is impossible to name the mother of his son, Ordwulf. Unless a source for the relationship is provided Ælfwynn should be removed as Ordwulf's mother.

I am removing Ordwulf as a child.

The Reliquary and Illustrated Archaeologist, Volumes 13-14.[1] ... makes her wife of Edulph, Archbishop of York and mother of Leofwine, Earl of Mercia ...

Does anyone actually have sources for the 2 husbands/children , because everything I have seen indicates she was never married, nor had any children.

Mercia-235 and Mercia-175 appear to represent the same person because: Proper First Name should be Aelfwynn with Preferred Name Ælfwynn - for Æ isn't recognized by Wikitree search.
