Research Notes

Stephen White in Dictionnaire généalogique des familles acadiennes does not list a daughter Marie Anne Mignot for Pierre Mignot and Marie Catherine (Anne) Ouellet. [2] Neither does genealogist Karen Theriot Reader [3] or researcher Marcel Walter Landry. [4] PRDH connects her to parents Joseph Mignot (Pierre's brother) and Marie Anne Michaud because "Her filiation is proven by the information provided in a record of February 24 1757 before the notary Charles-Louis Nicolas Lévesque concerning the estate of Joseph Migneault/Aubin.[5] She is cited at the wedding of her sister Marie-Josèphe in 1746. Source: personal communication from Mr. Benjamin Lebel." [6] Stephen White also lists a daughter Marie Anne for the couple Joseph Mignot and Marie Anne Michaud. (DGFA p. 1191)

Could the profile managers take a look at the research note. Do you think there is sufficient proof to remove Marie Anne from these parents and connected her to Joseph Mignot and Marie Anne Michaud?
