Biography

Cassie was born in 1866. Her parents were James Mills and Ann (Newcomer) Mills. [1][2][3][4]

In 1880 she was 14 and living with her parents, J W and Anny, and siblings in Iowa. [5]

She married (1) Raimen Myers in 1884. Parents listed. [1] He died in 1887.

She married (2) Charles Mark in 1890. Parents listed. [2] This marriage ended in divorce.

She married (3) Charles Bander in 1900. Parents listed. [3] He could have died soon after marriage since there are no other records found for him.

She married (4) Oscar Theodore Smith in 1902. This marriage ended in divorce before 1910.

In 1910 Cassie was listed as divorced and was living with her 15 year old daughter Eunice Marks in Iowa. Her ex-husband Oscar Smith was living in the home as well and was listed as a divorced lodger. [6]

In 1920 she was living in the home of her married daughter Bertha Mercer in Iowa. [7]

In 1930 she was 63 and living as a lodger in the home of Delbert Conner in Iowa. [8]

She passed in 1942. Parents listed. [4]

Cassie was buried in Avon Cemetery, Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa. [9]
