Samuel Mirick was born on March 1, 1691, in Newton, Middlesex, Massachusetts [1]. He was the son of John Mirick and Elizabeth Trowbridge. He passed away on 29 April 1749 in Newton.[2]
On 22 May 1749, the estate of Samuel Myrick was ordered to be inventoried. It was inventoried on 14 Jun 1749 by Lt. Joseph Fuller, Deacon John Stone and Lt. William Hide, valued at approximately £4400, including about 60 acres of land, house, and barn. Mrs. Mary Myrick exhibited the inventory on oath, June 19, 1749. On 7 May 1750, Samuel Myrick late of Newton chairmaker, intestate, his estate ordered to be inventoried for division for widow's thirds to be set off to Mrs. Mary Myrick, the deceased's widow.[3]
Jonathan Myrick son of Samuel Myrick late of Newton, chairmaker, assigned 2/3 part of the real estate, 4 Jun 1750, he to pay to each of his sisters Mary Smith, Sarah Robinson, Esther Mason and Abigail Myrick £53. The real estate was divided between the widow Mary Myrick (1/3) and Jonathan Myrick (2/3). Agreement signed by Mary & Jonathan Myrick, and John Stone, weaver, guardian for Abigail Myrick.[4] Abigail Merick, a minor aged 15 years, elected as her guardian John Stone, weaver, 22 May 1749.[5]
