Biography
When Rachel Clark (Moorman) Goggin was born in 1754 in Louisa, Virginia, her father, Thomas Moorman, was 49, and her mother Rachel (Clark) Moorman, was 40. She married Stephen Goggin Jr. on December 21, 1773, in Bedford, Virginia. They had eight children in 13 years. She is Great-grandmother of Samuel Langhorne Clemens (Mark Twain) She died on November 22, 1835, in Bedford, Virginia, having lived a long life of 81 years, and was buried there.
