Biography

John was born in 1784. He died in 1866. He was listed as a merchant in his death record in Charlotte County.

Research Notes

His death record from Charlotte County Virginia is not dated other than the month he died of October. The register page is not dated at the top but the information given is that he died of dropsey at age 84, he was a merchant, his wife was Betsey A., and his parents were Mary & Quin Morton[1] That would make the year 1868 rather than 1866. So need to find another death source.
