She married in or before 1327 Robert De Haverington (or Harington, Haryngton), Knt., son and heir apparent of John de Haverington, Knt., 1st Lord Harington, by Joan, probable daughter of William de Dacre, Knt. They had two sons, John, Knt., and Robert, and allegedly two daughters. Sir Robert De Haverington died in Ireland in or before 1334. His widow, Elizabeth, married (2nd) in or before November 1334 Walter De Bermingham, Knt., They had one son, Walter, and one daughter Margaret (wife of Robert de Preston, Knt.). Sir Walter De Bermingham died shortly before 16 September 1350. His wife, Elizabeth, died before 30 October 1350.

Did she really have FOUR children the same year ? Robert, Anthony, Michael and Richard all born in 1330. Seems a little questionable.

So, that leads to the question whether Joan was actually the daughter of a different wife (or mistress) of Walter de Bermingham.

Do we have a definitive source on this?

Yeah I'm seeing this too. Is this correct?

If it's true that Elizabeth Multon married both Walter de Bermingham and Robert Harington, and she had daughter Joan with Walter... and son John with Robert... then, it certainly appears that Joan and John were married. Materal half-siblings?

Can't be right, can it?

Kate, thoughts?

Note that children John Harrington and Joan Birmingham appear to have married each other.
