James married his second wife Hopestill Agry (perhaps Angier) on 23 May 1765 in Scituate.[3]
In 1768, James was appointed guardian of the estate that his minor children, James, Elizabeth, Ruth, and John, inherited from the maternal grandfather.[4]
Probate
James Nash of Scituate, yeoman died intestate and on 22 October 1773, James Nash of Scituate was granted the administration of his estate.[5]
His inventory was taken on 27 October 1773 in Scituate. James Nash was the administrator of his estate.[6]
In 1791, an account of his estate by James Nash was recorded which included, funeral charges, debts paid, legacies paid (to Mary Nash, Ruth Curtis, Elizabeth Nash, Hopestill Nash), and administration fees.[7]
In 1791, his estate was set out to James Nash (eldest son), John Nash, Sarah Rogers, wife of Joshua Rogers, Elizabeth Nash, Mary Nash, and Ruth Curtis, wife of Samuel Curtis 3d.[8]
